As part of the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC)’s efforts to streamline the application process for long-term care schemes, AIC has launched the eServices for Financing Schemes (eFASS) application portal on 1 October 2020. Patients and caregivers can now submit and manage their long-term care schemes online.
What else is great about the application portal? Here are the top six benefits of eFASS!
1. Ease Of Application
In the past, you need to submit a physical application form to apply for AIC’s long-term care schemes. eFASS cuts down on the paperwork, and you can submit an application online for any long-term care schemes for yourself or as a caregiver.
If you are applying for yourself, the application portal will automatically check and show you the schemes you might be eligible for. (Further eligibility checks will be done after an application is submitted.)
2. Convenient & Secure Login
The eFASS application portal provides a secure login process through the commonly used Singpass system, which relies on a Two-Step Verification Process and a One-Time Password (OTP). Hence, you need not create a separate login account to access eFASS.
Alternatively, you may download the Singpass Mobile application, which enables you to log in quickly without using an OTP.
3. User-Friendly Interface
To facilitate the application process, you can refer to a step-by-step video guide. It will be clearer for you to proceed to the next step and complete the application.
There’s also a ‘Save Draft’ function that allows you to save application drafts, giving you more time to gather the information required to complete your application.
4. Management Of Application & Schemes
If more information is required during the process of application, the eFASS application portal will prompt you on what you need to do next.
You can also update details such as a change in the nominated bank account to receive schemes’ payouts for you or your loved ones.
5. Full Overview Of Your Applications
The user-friendly interface on eFASS includes a dashboard that provides an overview of all your active schemes. You can also follow up on any outstanding tasks about your application or change request and apply for new schemes via the overview page.
6. Keep Track Of Messages With AIC [New Feature!]
If you have further enquiries about your schemes or applications, you can submit questions and receive replies through the mailbox function under the "My Correspondences" tab on eFASS.
You can also view your notices, download, and print letters there.
